Meet the Ladies Behind the Mics
Emily Brooks-Wilkening
Emily is a ghostwriter, copywriter, and website designer who operates under the business name EBW Writing. She is also an English Literature graduate Student at SIUE. Her favorite genres to write are paranormal fiction and realistic fiction.
Emily became reacquainted with her love of writing post-college when she began writing as a hobby in her spare time. She has always loved writing, but now she loves it more than ever.
Besides writing, Emily is a voracious reader, crocheter, and knitter. She’s currently reading Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke and The Help by Katherine Stockett.
Zoe Bonds
Zoe is a counselor with a magical love for writing and boundless creativity. She earned her Master’s degree in clinical counseling from Eastern Illinois University. She writes fiction exploring interesting points of view and enjoys dabbling in all types of fiction.
Zoe has been an avid reader since the time she was an adolescent, her love largely being spurred by the Percy Jackson series. Zoe has always enjoyed writing, and is excited to share her work and inner world with you!
Outside of writing, Zoe still enjoys reading. She also junk journals and crochets. Zoe is currently reading The Eye of the Bedlam Bride by Matt Dinniman (a part of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series).

Lives get busy, time gets tight, stress ravages our souls… sometimes we all need a little escape. We want to provide that escape by letting you step into our short stories for an hour at a time.
